There are a few different types of Gurnard that may be caught around the UK coast line.Grey Gurnard,Tub Gurnard and Red Gurnard are all part of the gurnard family.The Tub Gurnard is the largest type growing to 12lbs.Gurnard are very strange looking fish with the red gurnard being something to see,habitat of a Gurnard is mostly around sandy beaches like Freshfield but are mostly caught on boats around Liverpool bay.Top Baits are Mackerel Strip,Ragworm,Lugworm and Peeler crab.
